Legal representative Randy Sorrels stated that the incident was unusual and highlighted serious concerns regarding the surgery. The lawyer mentioned that during the operation, the surgeon mistakenly severed the vas deferens, the duct responsible for transporting sperm. Sorrels expressed alarm at the nature of the error, emphasizing that it could have long-term implications for the child’s reproductive capabilities.
“This young boy may face challenges in fatherhood due to this mistake, which is shocking and unacceptable,” Sorrels commented, calling for accountability from the medical professionals involved.
