A Texas nurse has reported a disturbing incident involving FBI agents related to accusations against a major children’s hospital in Houston. Vanessa Sivadge, employed at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH), claims she was threatened at her home after speaking out against the hospital’s alleged Medicaid fraud concerning gender interventions for minors.
In a recent disclosure to journalist Christopher Rufo, Sivadge accused TCH of promoting “gender-affirming care” for young patients while neglecting significant psychological issues. This revelation follows her decision to come forward after Rufo’s May 2023 article, which detailed a leaked report from a physician alleging improper medical practices at TCH involving the administration of puberty blockers.
TCH had previously claimed to halt such medical procedures after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton stated that certain sex-change operations and puberty blockers for minors constituted “child abuse” under state law. However, Sivadge contends that this claim is misleading and that the hospital has continued these ultimately illegal practices.
Shortly after her allegations gained public attention, Sivadge reported that two FBI agents appeared at her residence. In video footage shared by Rufo, the agents identified themselves and expressed a desire to discuss “some of the things that have been going on” at Sivadge’s workplace.
